Entry Requirements

Entry Requirements

Prior experience in a school is not required. However, where candidates have been able to gain experience in schools, this might be helpful to understand the role of a teacher. Please note: your application would not be rejected because you have not gained school experience.

The course offered by High Force SCITT is in line with the Level 7 Masters degree standard.

The entry requirements are:
- Minimum of a 2.1 honours degree from a UK University or a recognised equivalent qualification.
- GCSE grade C or grade 4 (minimum) in English Language, Mathematics and Science.
- Other GCSE's required showing a good spread of curriculum subjects.
- Minimum 2 ‘A’ Levels of good grade.

If not a 2.1 or above degree classification we will then consider a candidate who has:
- GCSE grade B or above in English language.
- GCSE grade C or grade 4 (minimum) in Mathematics and Science. Other GCSE's required showing a good spread of curriculum subjects.
- Minimum 2 ‘A’ Levels at grade C or above.
- Minimum 2.2 honours degree from a UK University or a recognised equivalent qualification.

Supportive reference.
Positive attitude towards teaching expressed coherently and grammatically in their personal statement.
